Two women have died in a single-car crash on Long Island. The incident occurred on the Long Island Expressway around 6:30 p.m. today. According to police, the driver of the car was driving southbound when she veered off the road and into a guardrail. The car then crashed into a tree, killing both women inside. At this time, it is unclear what caused the accident.
The victims have been identified as 41-year-old Brandi Lynn Aube and her 36-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn Aube.

Brandi Lynn Aube was a resident of Westbury and Kaitlyn Aube was born in Lake Placid. They are both survived by their parents and two daughters.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Country Club Road around p.m. on Wednesday.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, the two women in the car were killed when their car crashed into a tree.
Authorities believe that the crash was caused by a mechanical failure.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of family.
