| Description: | uties and Responsibilities Security * Maintain daily logs including phone, resident in/out, visitors in/out, and facility check logs. * Check locks on exterior doors of facility. * Perform resident admit and discharge procedures. * Inspect resident apartments and common rooms for cleanliness and proper maintenance. * Supervise resident work details. * Forward maintenance reports to the Resident Monitor Supervisor. * Collect and prepare urine samples and chain of custody and administer breathalyzer tests. * Collect, receive, and receipt resident funds. * Report suspected unauthorized activity or resident absence to the Resident Monitor Supervisor. * Prepare incident reports. * Perform resident pat searches and room searches. * Observe all safety regulations or pre-cautions and follow center policies and procedures as relates to same. * Monitor fire and life safety systems and report to the Resident Monitor Supervisor. * Assume receptionist duties, which includes answering phones, paging, taking messages, and directing visitors. * Verify all scheduled passes. * Conduct a count each hour of residents in the facility. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Must be willing to be CPR and MANDT certified. * Must hold a current Alaska Driver's License and be insurable by Cornell Corrections of Alaska, Inc.'s insurance company (drivers only). |
