| Description: | SECURITY MANAGER (AO1259) What is Cornell Companies? We partner with federal, state, county and local government agencies to meet their service needs through quality, cost-efficient services and programs, which in turn saves taxpayer's money. The candidate for this position will maintain a continuous state of alertness and awareness to control and secure the facility and residents. Operate within legal constraints and contract agency stipulations in order to maintain the security of the facility and safety of the residents, staff and community. This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position. Typical duties include: * Supervise security and maintenance * Recruit, hire, orient and train new staff * Complete daily reports * Schedule staff for adequate coverage * Assume responsibilities in Director's absence * Other duties as assigned by Facility Director The right candidate will have: * BA/BS in related field or related experience * Supervisory experience may substitute for schooling, or a combination of both * Familiarity with community corrections systems and their current practices * Successful completion of criminal background check, driver's license check, and drug screening |
