| Description: | The Delaware Municipal Court is seeking applicants for the position of Community Control Officer. Duties include working with judges, criminal and traffic offenders, crime victims, social service providers, and police officers to ensure that offenders comply with court orders and that the public is protected before and after offenders are sentenced. The applicant must either (1) possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field of academic study such as criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, or other discipline that provides evidence of the capacity to understand and apply the legal requirements and human relations skills involved in the work of the position of Community Control Officer, or (2) possess an associate's degree from an accredited college or university, plus 3 years' experience in the criminal justice field. The applicant should possess good comunication and writing skills and be able to organize, oversee, and complete multiple projects simultaneously, and with limited supervision. The applicant must possess the ability to maintain confidences, exercise mature judgment, and work harmoniously with others. Experience with court operations is preferred. |
| Special Instructions: | Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license. Must successfully complete mandated Security Officer training within six months of employment with the court and qualify to carry a firearm. |
