We are looking for people who enjoy children, have behavior modification experience, want a professional and positive work environment, and have a positive attitude. Caregivers work with children (infants to 17 year old children) in a emergency shelter child care setting. These individuals provide direct care programs and services to assigned children and implement all aspects of individual case plans in a timely manner. These case plans include: - Observe and monitor clients activities at all times to ensure that clients are safe. - Administer client medications. - Review the daily schedule and ensure that clients arrive on time and are well-prepared for all appointments and activities. - Employ effective techniques of behavior management that minimize or eliminate the need for physical containment. Full-time positions working 10 hour shifts 4 days per week 1st (6am 4pm), 2nd (1pm 11 pm), and 3rd (9pm – 7am) shift positions available. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor degree in social work, criminal justice or other human services field; prefer specialization in children and families. OR Graduation from high school or completion of an accredited Graduation Equivalency Degree program plus a minimum of one (1) year experience working with children. Must pass all criminal history background checks. Must have Texas driver’s license and provide Department of Public Safety proof of driving record acceptable to agency insurers for the past three (3) years. Must submit to pre-employment drug screen and TB test as well as random drug screens when directed. |
