The Mid-level Provider assists in the assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, and treatment of the inmates. He/she carriers out his/her duties with minimal direct supervision by a physician. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice in the state where employment is being sought and have a minimum of two (2) years previous experience in their respective discipline and possess and maintain current CPR and Medication Certifications. The Physician Assistant must hold a Bachelors degree from an AMA / AAPA approved Physician Assistant Program. The Nurse Practitioner must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and hold an advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Prior medical / surgical or emergency / trauma experience and/or corrections experience is preferred. |
