The department will build an on-going eligibility list. Salary Information: Base salary ranges from $3,302 (Step I) to $4,074 (Step IV), yearly step increases to year four, education incentive, longevity, and specialty pay depending on assignment. A lateral candidate will be placed at a salary step commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience Benefit Information: Employer contributes $1,138 toward medical, dental, vision plan premiums, paid vacation and sick time, eleven paid holidays, deferred comp available. The agency is organized into three Bureaus: Operations, Corrections, and Services that are overseen by the Sheriff's Administrative Staff. Relative to other Sheriff's Offices in the state, LCSO is an average-sized agency of 110 employees comprised of Deputies, Corrections Officers, Support Staff and Administrative Staff.
