Orange County Corrections in Orlando, Florida is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Correctional Captain. This position is responsible for directing and supervising Security Operations units, serving as liaison with internal departments and to provide direction to certified and civilian staff in assigned area of responsibility. This position reports to a Major. Ideal Candidates for this position will match the following profile: Must have completed ninety credit hours towards a Bachelor’s degree and working towards completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and eight years of experience in Corrections, Criminal Justice or other related field. Six of the eight years of experience must have been in a supervisory capacity and two of the six years as a Correctional Lieutenant, equivalent or above. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Correctional Officer certification within first year of employment, maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays and be on-call 24/7. |
