The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking talented psychologists to work on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of civilly committed sexual offenders. We are committed to being a leader in the industry, implementing the latest research throughout all aspects of our program.

With a great deal of support from both a dedicated and experienced clinical management team as well as organizational support from our senior leadership team, you will:
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the specialized field of sex offender treatment, assessment, and research.
  • Conduct sexual violence risk assessments for the court.
  • Deliver consultation and testimony to the Minnesota Supreme Court of Appeals Panel and Special Review Board hearings.
  • Give technical consultation and direction to a broad spectrum of courts and other care providers in the field of sex offender treatment and assessment.
  • Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed psychologists, training for unlicensed psychology staff and psychological trainees, offer sophisticated problem-solving skills when providing consultation and provide mentoring and educational experiences to unlicensed psychologists to enhance department's overall clinical skills.

Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and licensed in Minnesota within six months of hire.
  • One year post-license advanced professional experience and competency (i.e., credentialing) in forensic assessment/evaluation.
  • Must possess competency in the administration and interpretation of testing instruments utilized in forensic evaluation.
  • Competency and experience in testifying and completing court-ordered evaluations as well as knowledge of mental health case law is required.
