Forensic Treatment Services (FTS) provides treatment of patients under civil and criminal commitment and conducts forensic evaluations. Care is provided for approximately 385 patients within a secure inpatient hospital, a supervised residential setting, and a nursing home. Forensic Services boasts dedicated professional staff striving to provide person-centered care. The medical staff consists of board certified providers including forensically trained psychiatrists, and psychiatric advanced practice providers, primary care physicians and nurse practitioners. Forensic Services is Joint Commission accredited.

Job Description:
Provide ongoing psychiatric assessment and evaluations, ensuring diagnostic test, procedures and medical treatments are done; testifying in court and general consultation services.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing with ANCC certification as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health CNS or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensed or license eligible as a APRN in Minnesota.
  • Authorization from the MN Board of Nursing to prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices.
