| Description: | The WY Dept. of Corrections has an immediate opening for a Training Lieutenant at the WDOC Training Academy in Rawlins, WY. This position is responsible for delivering lectures, facilitating group discussions and activities, monitoring and evaluating guided practice. Also responsible for researching, designing and developing lesson plans. Evaluates and measures participant's increased knowledge base and skill set. Plans annual curriculum and provides a safe, interactive learning environment by using the adult learning theory. Ensures participant safety. |
| Special Instructions: | Maintains instructor certifications and skill level. Ability to travel to participate in and/or facilitate training required. May be required to perform line Lieutenant duties such as shift supervision, inmate disciplinary process, security audits, inspections, coordinating schedules and responding to incidents within the facility. |
