Columbia County Sheriff's Office builds eligibility lists when it has vacancies to fill. Candidates must submit an application through the County’s web site at www.co.columbia.or.us in addition to taking the testing through National Testing Network (NTN).

Salary: $3,538 - $5,183 with additional pay for DPSST certification.

Job Requirements
Veterans and those who have never worked in the field are encouraged to apply.

This is a Civil Service position that is full time, 40 hours per week (plus regular required overtime) on a rotating shift basis (day/swing/night) and part of the team at the Sheriff’s Office. Candidates must be 21years of age or older with a valid driver’s license, have a high school education, preferably with additional college level education in the law enforcement field.
Special Instructions: Civil Service applications are mandatory and must be electronically submitted to the County Human Resources Department by 5:00 PM on August 23, 2016. Applications will only be accepted via online submission per the instructions online at www.co.columbia.or.us.
