Federal Inmate Escapes, Captured Near Kentucky School

A prisoner from the Federal Correctional Institution walked away from the minimum security camp in Clay County on October 17, forcing a middle school to go under lock down.
It all started when Clay County Middle School Principal Wayne Napier arrived at school and was told, what was believed to be a student, was about a block from the school leaning against a building.
Napier says when he questioned the man he fled on foot.
20-year-old Brian Ison was serving an eleven-year sentence for non-violent drug related charges when he walked away from the Federal Correction Institution minimum-security prison camp early that morning.
Manchester City Police had searched for around two hours for Ison when he was captured behind a flower shop.
Shop owner Charles Ray says he alerted police when he and another man spotted Ison hiding under some boxes.
Ison is back in custody of the federal prison and was scheduled to get out of prison in the year 2011.
But this latest incident may change all of that.
The situation is now being investigated by the United States Marshal's Service for review.
After that review, the case will go to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Lexington to determine if Ison will face charges for escaping.
