A 46-year-old probation officer who was wanted by Alpharetta police for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old girl in exchange for providing the girl's boyfriend with a clean drug test has turned himself over to police. James Ray Pattillo, who had worked for the Department of Family and Children Services as a contractual probation officer, now faces charges of statutory rape, aggravated child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. The rape was allegedly arranged by the girl's 15-year-old boyfriend, who was living off Mid-Broadwell Road in Alpharetta, where the alleged incident occurred. The teenager must submit to routine drug tests at home and on Oct. 2 he reportedly urged the probation officer to have sex with his girlfriend in exchange for a clean report on his drug screening. The boyfriend and his father reportedly told the girl they would give her $100 to $150 to perform the favor. After the act, they failed to give her the money. The juvenile was charged Oct. 21 with pimping and pandering and was turned over to the Fulton County Juvenile Court for prosecution. There is no word yet whether the boy's father will be charged. Police say the investigation is ongoing. The girl was examined at the hospital which may provide DNA evidence. And police confiscated bed sheets which will be examined by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab. The bedding may also contain DNA evidence. 'That could be our key. We think we have something,' said Alpharetta police Sgt. Chris Lagerbloom. Pattillo's contract with DFACS was suspended pending an investigation. |
