Cape Coral, FL, January 2, 2003 - TJA Use of Force Training, Inc. of Cape Coral, Florida recently completed Tactical Team Training for 40 Instructors from the Louisiana Department of Corrections. The two-week instructor level training course was conducted at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, Louisiana by President & Chief Instructor Thomas J. Archambault along with two of the company's Master Instructors, Leonard Newby and Gregory Porter. The State has adopted TJA's comprehensive, correctional tactical team training curriculum that included training in CERT and Disturbance & Riot Control Operations. In addition instructors were trained in the “tough cloth” restraining device, Emergency Response Belt (ERB) for transport and movement of potentially violent inmates. TJA's training programs are fully backed in a court of law. This was one of the prime considerations for the State to contract Archambault's firm for the training, company's national litigation free reputation and realistic researched training concepts. Every State Correctional Institution in the State of Louisiana was represented and several national timed team training records were broken with cell extractions as well as rapid deployment of teams to critical disturbance conditions which can occur in any facility. In 2003, Thomas Archambault and his company are celebrating twenty years of national training in the Use of Force field for corrections and law enforcement. The company specializes in non-lethal and less lethal technologies for tactical teams.
