| N.Y. Prison Employee Charged With Having Sex With Inmates |

A painter employed at a female state prison in western New York is accused of having sex with some of the inmates. State police tell the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle that they have charged 62-year-old Benedetto Midea with sodomy in connection with their investigation at Albion Correctional Facility, an all-female prison in Orleans County. Investigators say Midea may have had sex with more than one inmate. According to the state Department of Correctional Services, Midea is an 18-year employee who has been employed as a painter at the prison for the past eleven years. He remains free pending future court hearings. The charges come amid a state corrections department investigation into alleged employee misconduct at the prison. |
