Authorities on Saturday apprehended the last of four inmates who escaped from a Missouri jail more than a week ago. Justin Jay Rejba, 21, was arrested at a mobile home in a Hartford trailer park Saturday afternoon. Rejba and three other fugitives - William Mitchell Jones, 23; Craig Lee Miles, 19; and William Bruce Telleen, 18 - escaped from a private jail facility at Pattonsburg, Mo., in the early morning of Sept. 4. A tip from Miles' brother, Cody Miles, 17, led authorities to the mobile home where Rejba was staying, said Polk County Sheriff's Capt. Doug Phillips. Rejba and Cody Miles had been eluding authorities together, Phillips said. 'We had been tracking them all week, and we had been running about six to eight hours behind them everywhere they've been,' he said. 'We arrested Miles, and he said he set up Rejba in Hartford and he gave us the address.' Phillips did not know who owned the mobile home, but said no other adults were there at the time of Rejba's arrest. Rejba is charged with escape, in addition to previous charges of first-degree theft, failure to appear and a probation violation. Cody Miles was arrested in Des Moines early Saturday on six counts of first-degree theft, eight counts of second-degree theft and escape from custody. Jones was found Sept. 5 in Des Moines, and Telleen and Craig Miles were caught in Des Moines the day they escaped. The four fugitives were prisoners from Polk County but were housed in Missouri due to overcrowding. |
