| Farrakhan's Son Bonds Out of Jail |

Nasir Farrakhan, son of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, bonded out of the Porter County, Ind., Jail on Sunday. A spokesman at the jail refused to release any further details. Farrakhan was arrested Saturday afternoon following a hit-and-run incident on the Indiana Toll Road in LaPorte County. His 1997 Hummer struck a Honda passenger car driven by Charles Peterson, 73, of Gary, according to the state police. Farrakhan did not stop after the accident, the state police said. He was held at the jail on multiple charges: Operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Driving with a suspended license. Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Possession of drug paraphernalia. Gladys Peterson, 62, was transported to Porter Memorial Hospital for neck and back pain. She was treated and released. |
