| Ariz. Correctional Officer's Death Under Investigation |

Arizona Department of Corrections investigators and the Florence Police Department are investigating the death of a 35-year-old ADC correctional officer who apparently committed suicide on the grounds of the Arizona State Prison Complex-Eyman on May 14. Timothy Fry, a CO II assigned to the Eyman/Special Management Unit I arrived for work on his motorcycle at approximately 8:00 p.m. From the prison's traffic control gate, he proceeded to a prison parking lot then to a location on the main road of the complex where he parked his motorcycle, and walked a few feet away where, it is believed, he shot himself with a personal weapon. Officer Fry had been reinstated to the Department in August 2002, after having resigned in January 2002. Officer Fry was not married and had no immediate family in Arizona. |
