Calif. Man Gets Ten Years for Stomping Officer

An Oakland man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for stomping the face of an unconscious San Quentin prison officer three years ago.
Calvin Bradley had been charged with attempted murder. But in a deal with prosecutors, he pleaded guilty in Marin County Superior Court to assault with a deadly weapon and causing great bodily harm.
Bradley had been at the prison for one day on June 30th, 2000, when he punched the female officer in an unprovoked attack and then stomped on her face until other officer s dragged him off.
The officer remains on medical leave.
