A Cumberland County jail inmate lodged a complaint last week against a corrections officer, saying the officer threatened to kill the inmate after his last arrest.
According to a municipal police report, Marcus Harvey signed a complaint against Cumberland County Corrections Officer G.B. Glenn.
'He's an officer in good standing,' Warden Glenn Saunders said, noting that Glenn has been with the department since December 1997.
Saunders said inmates habitually file complaints against his officers for little reason, but Harvey's compliant is under investigation by the jail's Internal Affairs Department.
He also said Glenn's duties have not been restricted.
'Obviously, if we did that every time an inmate made a complaint, it would be very difficult to man the jail,' Saunders said.
Police said Harvey told them that Glenn threatened to shoot the inmate or have one of his sons shoot him after the inmate was arrested on a municipal warrant May 13.
Harvey told police that Glenn confronted him while awaiting a bail hearing.
According to police, Harvey told them that Glenn said he carried a gun and said, 'I might just give my pistol to my son. Either me or GG or Gaimbi is gonna get you.'
Police said Glenn's two sons are Gregory Glenn Jr. and Giambi Glenn.
