A prison escapee, who police say, killed a 60-year-old man during his breakout in Madison County is back behind bars. Demitrius Tyrone Holloway, 22, was caught February 10 in Dallas, where authorities recovered the slain man's pickup truck and stolen guns from his home. Holloway broke out of the Ferguson Unit in Madison County sometime after noon the same day. Authorities say they have made a positive link between Holloway and the murder scene. It was less than 10 miles away from trusty dormitory that Holloway was assigned to. The victim was Farmer Pearson. He was found bound with masking tape around 5 p.m. Madison County Sheriff Gerag Douget said there was forced entry through the backdoor of Pearson's home. Authorities say Holloway faces felony escape and capital murder charges. He was in prison on a robbery conviction. |
