| Miss. County officers accused of having sex with inmates |

Two George County, Miss., Correctional Facility corrections officers have been charged with having sex with inmates. Officers James C. Campbell, 37, and Holly J. Ray, 29, both of Lucedale, were arrested on Thursday. They made their initial appearance Friday before Justice Court Judge M.L. Goff and were released on $5,000 commercial bonds. Allegations of illegal sexual activity at the jail were made to the sheriff's department on Wednesday, Chief Deputy John Keel said. After receiving the complaint, Sheriff Don Parnell ordered an internal investigation. If convicted, both could face fines up to $5,000 and five-year sentences. |
