Authorities will begin efforts to extradite a Florida jail inmate who told Ohio authorities last week that he robbed and killed a couple in their home. Jason Sam Campbell was charged yesterday with two counts each of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery in Hamilton Municipal Court, police spokesman Dave Crawford said. Filing charges allows extradition efforts to begin for Campbell, 22, who is jailed in Jacksonville, Fla., on unrelated charges. Campbell is accused of killing and robbing Helen Riley, 55, and her husband, Donald Riley, 44, Feb. 23 in their home in this city 25 miles north of Cincinnati. The bodies were found two days later. Authorities have not said how they were killed. Campbell gave a written confession to city police and Butler County prosecutors who interviewed him in Florida last week. |
