A local woman was arrested last week for allegedly trying to bring drugs into a local prison. Mildred Alice Brock, 62, was charged with conveying drugs onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a third-degree felony, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported. Brock was arrested at about 1 p.m. Friday after investigators received a tip that she planned to carry drugs into the Warren Correctional Institution, according to a statement from the Ohio State High Patrol. Brock was carrying 14 grams of cocaine in balloons when she was arrested, investigators said. Brock was taken to the Warren County Jail. If she is convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Stay tuned to WLWT Eyewitness News 5 and ChannelCincinnati.com for news updates throughout the day. |
