A woman who was mistakenly released from the Oklahoma County Jail turned herself into authorities February 7, police said.
Linda Island, 34, was convicted of federal charges of mail fraud and distributing drugs.
She was being held at the Oklahoma County Jail waiting to be transferred to federal prison when county jail authorities received a letter Thursday from the U.S. Marshal's Office saying that Island should be released. The jail went ahead and released her.
The U.S. Marshal's Office realized its mistake and Island turned herself in shortly after, Mark Myers reported.

Do you know someone who has been arrested in Waco or McLennan County? It’s important to find a good Waco lawyer to represent you in the matter involving your own liberty. Look for the best Waco Lawyer that you can find. Whether you have been accused rightly or wrongly, it’s important to know your legal rights that concern whether you go to jail.
