| Okla. County Inmate Apparently Hangs Herself |

A 24-year-old Moore, Okla. woman apparently hanged herself in a cell at the Cleveland County, Okla., jail early Monday morning. Venus Glover was found dead at about 1:30 a.m. Monday. She had fashioned a noose out of a pair of jail-issued pants and hanged herself from the cell vent, Sheriff DeWayne Beggs said. The woman had been on suicide watch. She was booked into jail Thursday after being arrested on complaints of obtaining a controlled drug using a forged prescription. She had entered a not guilty plea when she appeared in court Friday. Officials are still investigating the cause, but said it appears to be a suicide. |
