Mich. corrections officers face hacking charges
By Detroit News
Published: 01/19/2004

Four Midland County (Mich.) corrections officers face charges they hacked into the Sheriff's Department computer system. The Saginaw County prosecutor's office is handling the case at the request of Midland County Prosecutor Norman W. Donker to avoid any speculation that the officers would receive lenient or harsh treatment because of their positions. Gregory McMahon; Lynnae Parrish; Michael Kriger; and Charlotte Glesner, were arraigned last Monday. The officers are free on $50,000 bonds and have been suspended without pay. They were charged with two felony counts, including unauthorized access to computers. If convicted, they face up to five years and $10,000 for each felony.
