Ohio Corrections Officer Accused Of Having Sex With Inmate

County jail is supposed to be a place where inmates and corrections officers are not supposed to be too familiar with each other, but two Medina County, Ohio corrections officers are facing charges involving sex with an inmate, according to NewsNet5.
Corrections officer Lester McNary is charged with sexual battery after an alleged encounter with a female inmate. The other officer, Joseph Bradley, is charged with complicity after he allegedly served as the lookout while the sexual encounter took place.
'This female was working in the laundry room and the corrections officers took her out of the laundry room to a secluded area,' Medina Sheriff Neil Hassinger said. 'And took advantage, Yes. Unfortunately.'
Hassinger said Bradley operated the electronically controlled door, giving McNary and the female inmate access from the laundry room to a private meeting spot.
Bibb reported that the sheriff says the crime, the sexual contact, happened at the county jailhouse kitchen.
'Because they had charge of her and it becomes a crime because they violated that,' Hassinger said.
'She was incarcerated at the facility, so that makes her a victim in it.'
The corrections officers are on unpaid administrative leave. They could not be reached for comment. The female inmate is no longer in custody.
Hassinger is also working on installing more laundry and kitchen security cameras to watch areas that are hidden from view.
