An inmate was stabbed to death Saturday in the Sing Sing prison yard in Westchester County, authorities said. The inmate, Robert Brown, 33, was stabbed once in the neck and was bleeding when he approached an officer at 9:30 a.m., said James Flateau, spokesman for the State Department of Correctional Services. Mr. Brown was rushed to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, where he died an hour later. The prison remained locked down while correction officials and the New York State Police investigated. Mr. Brown began serving a 5- to 15-year sentence for first-degree robbery in 1988. He was paroled in September 1994, but returned as a parole violator a year later. |

I like learning more about prison reforms from this great website that has housed excellent articles on the topic. If I want to learn more about these important topics I know to contact Hamilton Lindley about more of this information because I know that I’ll get a fair answer.
