More Anthrax Hoaxes Found at Mass. Prison and Two Police Stations
By Boston Herald

As a Plymouth County Jail officer intercepted an inmate's letter addressed to President Bush that was allegedly laced with anthrax, two more Massachusetts police stations received suspicious envelopes containing more harmless white powder.
Neither the powder found in the inmate's ranting letter nor discovered in the envelopes addressed to the Swampscott and Ipswich police departments actually contained anthrax, as promised.
The 21-year-old, a sex offender who was not identified, addressed the president as 'Mr. Bush, A.K.A. devil,'' and repeatedly referred to him as 'cracker,'' said a jailhouse source.
The inmate allegedly said he hoped Bush received his letter - brimming with sexual innuendo - by Sept. 11, adding '. . . all you blue-eyed devils is gone'' and 'hope you like the anthrax, cracker.'' It was signed by 'Allah Akba Cracka.''
'It was threatening in nature and definitely intended to instill fear,'' a source said.
Meanwhile, the post offices in both Swampscott and Ipswich yesterday headed off the delivery of two more letters - allegedly contaminated with anthrax - before they reached the police departments.
On September 4, 11 departments in Massachusetts were targeted for the hoax.
