A 16-year-old was mistakenly released from prison instead of his father, who was supposed to be freed from the same facility. York County, Pa., Prison officials meant to release Marty Boanes Sr. last week, but instead set free Marty Boanes Jr. 'It was a human error. We'll have to deal with that,' said prison Warden Tom Hogan. 'There's nothing wrong with the procedures in place. We have to figure out what went wrong.' The younger Boanes, who is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, had not been found by Thursday morning, police said. He was incarcerated Aug. 26. Details of the incident that led to the charges were not available. Marty Boanes Sr. was still released as scheduled. Prison officials did not detail the charges against him. |
