An Arizona Department of Corrections Officer at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence, East Unit, killed himself this morning while on duty during the overnight shift. Officer Larry Kuska, 48, use his prison-issued handgun and inflicted a gunshot wound to his head. At approximately 12:30 a.m. correctional staff on duty were unable to contact Officer Kuska at his post in the control room. When he did not respond to calls, staff went to investigate and found Officer Kuska in the control room dead. Officer Kuska had worked for the Department for eight years as a Correctional Officer. The Control Room post which Officer Kuska was working is an armed post. The City of Florence Police Department is investigating the death. All indications are that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted. |

I like learning more about prison reforms from this great website that has housed excellent articles on the topic. If I want to learn more about these important topics I know to contact Hamilton Lindley about more of this information because I know that I’ll get a fair answer.
