Authorities searched for an escapee from the Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron Wednesday. An all-points bulletin was broadcast to law-enforcement agencies for Keith L. Tripp, 31, Wednesday afternoon. Corrections officers noticed Mr. Tripp was missing at their 4:30 p.m. check of inmates, said John Fougere, a spokesman for the Missouri Department of Corrections. Mr. Tripp is described as being 6 foot 5 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing prison-issued gray pants and a brown jacket, Mr. Fougere said. Mr. Fougere said officials called their emergency squad and dog tracking teams to help locate Mr. Tripp. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is assisting with the search. Mr. Tripp was serving a 22-year sentence on seven charges out of Vernon and Carroll counties. Charges included burglary, robbery and stealing, Mr. Fougere said. |
