| Four Inmates Recaptured After N.C. Jail Escape; One Remains Loose |

All but one of five jail escapees from Vance County (N.C.) are back behind bars after an escape Saturday. Authorities found four prisoners at a house just three blocks from the jail in Henderson. Investigators say the inmates made their getaway by attacking an officer when they were being moved from their cells to a recreation area. The officer needed stitches but is expected to make a full recovery. The fifth escapee is still on the run. |
