Ark. Escapee Faces Murder Charge
By Associated Press
Published: 03/13/2006

A three-time escapee from Michigan's Crittenden County jail has been arrested in Detroit on a murder charge there. In July 2004, 21-year-old Tristan Wilson was in the county jail on charges including theft of property, forgery and burglary. Wilson escaped from the jail twice, each time using an elaborate scheme, and each time being recaptured by local authorities. He escaped a third time after his arrest almost two years ago.
Recently, he was arrested in Detroit on a cocaine charge and taken to the Wayne County Jail, but was released before he could be extradited to Crittenden County. Crittenden County investigators don't know what the terms of his release were. After being released from jail in Detroit, Wilson allegedly committed more crimes and now faces murder and other charges.
Investigators said Wilson will be held in Detroit and not returned to Arkansas until the Michigan charges are resolved.
