Juvenile Law Center ensures that the policies and practices of the juvenile justice system are aligned with and informed by principles of child and adolescent development, and by the special needs of children and adolescents such as special education and mental health needs, the unique needs of adolescent girls and the particular needs of youth aging out of care.
