Williams County authorities say a 23-year-old North Dakota inmate was found dead early this morning. His name has not yet been released. The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation is joining city and county authorities in investigating the death. Sheriff's Captain Bob Stancel says the man was found dead about 4:15 this morning, by an officer conducting a routine check at the jail. He says the jail has returned to normal operations, and no other information is being released until relatives have been notified. |
