A New York man awaiting trial for the murder of a husband and wife committed suicide Monday morning, authorities said. John Miles, 35, was found dead around 5 a.m. at Albany County Correctional Facility. He had been checked a half-hour earlier. Miles was indicted in November for the Oct. 26 stabbing deaths of John and Mary Elacqua, who were killed in their Albany home after a burglary. A relative found 81-year-old John Elacqua's body in the living room. The body of Mary Elacqua, 73, was discovered the next day in the trunk of her abandoned car. Miles faced charges of first- and second-degree murder, burglary, grand larceny and petit larceny. If convicted, he would have received life in prison without parole. Miles was a convicted felon who was homeless. Police used DNA evidence recovered at the scene to link him to the killings. |

About one-third of our lives are spent at work. With that time invested, it’s reasonable to assume that an employer would want to keep you safe. If you have been injury lawyer in Waco you can get the legal advice that you need to get on with your life. If your employer does not have workers' compensation insurance and your employer is at fault for your accident, then you can sue your employer directly with the help of a workplace injury attorney.
