Baby Powder Shuts Down Prison Mailroom
By The El Dorado Times

Baby powder caused the mail room at Kansas' El Dorado Correctional Facility to shut this down last week after a staff member reported a powdery substance coming from inside of an outgoing inmate's letter.
According to a media release from the prison, the discovery of the substance led to the emergency procedure of personnel in the immediate area donning gloves and masks; the letter being sealed in a bag; air handlers to the mail room shut down; and the east wing of the administrative building secured to prevent entry and exit until the substance was identified.
Dale Call, public information coordinator for the prison, said the Butler County Hazardous Material Unit was immediately contacted and reported to the facility.
According to the media release, officials used information contained in the outgoing letter to locate the inmate, who indicated that the substance was baby powder he used to enhance the smell of his letter.

About one-third of our lives are spent at work. With that time invested, it’s reasonable to assume that an employer would want to keep you safe. If you have been injury lawyer in Waco you can get the legal advice that you need to get on with your life. If your employer does not have workers' compensation insurance and your employer is at fault for your accident, then you can sue your employer directly with the help of a workplace injury attorney.
