Prisoners Media Center (PMC) said that the prisoners in 30 Israeli jails launched Sunday a hunger strike against the harsh circumstances they suffer inside Israeli jails. In a statement received by WAFA on Sunday, PMC asserted that the prisoners will stop having the daily three meals in protest against bad conditions, harsh treatment and medical negligence. They called on the international community and human rights organizations to immediately intervene to improve their living conditions. The prisoners pointed out that the Israeli jail authorities transferred three new prisoners to isolated confinement among 370 who were transferred to the central jails. Minister of Prisoners Affairs, Wasfi Qabha asserted that hunger strike comes in protest against the harsh treatment at the hand of the Israeli jail's authorities and the crowded jails. He added that the ministry will send a delegation of advocates to see eye to eye the hard life of more than 10,000 prisoners and to reveal the Israeli acts of isolating the prisoners. |
