Two prisoners who escaped from the Clay County (Miss.) jail earlier this month are back in custody following their capture in Alabama. Authorities say 39 year-old Jerry Sims, of West Point, and 20 year-old Jeremy Madison, of Townley, Alabama, were arrested Jan. 16 and transported back to the Clay County Jail. The two were being held on drug charges at the time of their January 9th escape. They were captured in Jasper, Alabama. Meanwhile, Clay County authorities say they are attempting to determine how the two were able to slip away from the jail and whether others were involved. |
