According to corrections spokesman Jeff Lyons, minimum security inmate George England, 52, signed out of Concord's North End Halfway House Wednesday afternoon for his job, but never showed for work. State police have been searching for him since then.

England is white, 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, with short gray hair, brown eyes, and glasses. He has tattoos of a wizard and a half-moon on his arms. He is also missing four fingers on his left hand.

He was sentenced to four to eight years for receiving stolen property, and one year for disobeying a police officer, with part of his sentence suspended.
