WOODBURY, NJ - Judge John Tomasello denied a request for a new trial based on Kenney's argument that a key prosecution witness had recanted his testimony.

The witness, Michael Sadlowski, testified during a hearing in February that he only tried to recant to spare Kenney from dying by lethal injection. Kenney, 35, formerly known as Richard Feaster, changed his name in prison.
