WOODBURY, NJ - Judge John Tomasello denied a request for a new trial based on Kenney's argument that a key prosecution witness had recanted his testimony. The witness, Michael Sadlowski, testified during a hearing in February that he only tried to recant to spare Kenney from dying by lethal injection. Kenney, 35, formerly known as Richard Feaster, changed his name in prison. Death row inmate Sean Kenney won't get a new trial in the 1993 shotgun slaying of a Deptford gas station attendant, a Superior Court judge ruled Thursday.
