| Lieutenant resigns amid relationship allegations |

Greensburg, Timothy Jones submitted his resignation yesterday to the prison board. He had been suspended two weeks ago when prison officials confiscated letters he allegedly had been writing to the inmate. Warden John Walton says Jones was an exemplary employee, but correctional officers cannot become personally involved with inmates. Walton called it speculation that the relationship between Jones and the inmate was romantic. Jones declined comment |
