State prison workers face sex harassment charge

The Oregon Department of Corrections has duty stationed at home three employees who work at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution in Pendleton.
Allegations of conduct involving sexual harassment were brought forward to the prison's executive management in late December. Two people were placed on administrative leave at that time and a third resigned. Subsequently an additional staff member has been placed on administrative leave. At this time, it is not believed that any inmates were involved.
"When we think it is appropriate, we ask for assistance from the Oregon State Police," explained Perrin Damon, department spokeswoman. "They have joined Department of Corrections investigators and a thorough investigation is in progress."
Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution is a 1,645-bed men's medium-security prison.
The investigation of the allegations is ongoing, so additional details are not available. More information will be available when the investigation is complete.
