PLATTSBURGH, NY - A corrections officer accused of drunken driving in an accident that killed a teen and injured two others faced several new charges Tuesday, including murder.

A Clinton County grand jury indicted Charles Peryea, 50, of Ellenburg Depot on charges of second-degree murder, criminally negligent homicide and second-degree manslaughter.

Peryea, a corrections officer at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone, last month collided with a vehicle driven by Alicia Reynolds, 18, of Malone.

A passenger, Brandon Dunlavey, 18, of Burke, was killed.

Officials said a blood sample from Peryea after the accident showed his blood-alcohol level was .12.

More than 150 students, teachers and parents marched Saturday in Malone, about 150 miles north of Syracuse, to protest drunk driving.
