WEST OLIVE, MI - Ottawa County health and law-enforcement officials say a food-borne disease probably sickened 40 inmates at the county jail.
Authorities say two prisoners were treated at a hospital and returned to the jail.

They should know more about the cause of Wednesday's outbreak within seven to ten days, after laboratory test results become available.

The first case was identified early Wednesday, and then more prisoners reported getting sick as the week progressed.
