LITTLEFIELD, WY- According to Wyoming Department of Corrections officials, Sunday evening's disturbance at the Bill Clayton Detention Center caused minor property damage but no major injuries to inmates or staff. The incident was controlled within 15 minutes of its eruption when OC spray was used to quell the 39 inmates involved. The housing unit of the commotion was put immediately on partial lockdown, which will remain in effect until it can be safely lifted. GEO Group, Inc., the company that runs the city-owned prison, is leading the investigation. There are 301 male inmates at the Bill Clayton Correctional Facility |
