| Inmates found guilty of murder |

ALGER COUNTY, MI - The verdicts in the inmate murder trial: Guilty of first degree murder for Michael Melton, and guilty of second degree murder for Andy Anderson. They were both charged in the stabbing death of fellow inmate David Allen Green at Camp Cusino last October. It took the jury 11 hours over two day to reach the verdicts. "It's not really a cause for celebration," said Alger County Prosecutor Karen Bahrman. "But I would say I'm pleased. It was certainly worth the effort and expense." Melton now faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison. Anderson faces a possible life term. Sentencing is scheduled for July 19. |
